IC 342, or the "Hidden Galaxy," is an intermediate spiral galaxy in the constellation Camelopardalis, located about 11 million light-years away. Because it lies directly behind the Milky Way's dust-choked plane, interstellar matter dims its light, making it challenging to spot, despite its size being similar to our own galaxy.
